People open emails at different rates and also unsubscribe for different reasons. Don't take it personally. Look at your own habits for reading and unsubscribing, your reasons behind the same and you will see. Its not that different for your subscribers either.

Re: E-mail Metrics: Measuring What Matters

Starting new to twitter can be daunting but when you truly use it as the compelling marketing tool it can be it will certainly pay off in the long run. The only limitation is that the subject area in which you are submitting to has to conform with SYA. For example, if you have an article about SEO, it will be sent to all of the article directories using SYA bcause that's a popular topic. But if your article was on something specialized like "how to convert drum brakes to disc brakes" or something like that, not all article directories have a category for that, thus your article probably wouldn't fit. Also, SYA has an area where it will provide links to a LOT of other article directories, but they won't submit for you; it's just providing an easy way for you to link to the site and you still have to setup your account, login, etc.

Re: How to use my Article Submission Form, two Videos, and more!

i do a lot of Article Submissions because it is a good way of getting a good pagerank. i am still looking for a good article submission software.

Re: Upgrades Got You Down? 3 Tips for a Smooth Transition

Were you a spy upon my wall, Lisa? I was there with you in the mid-80s, and all the way up throughout the upgrades, actually finding them exciting until they became soooo complex, and happening soooo rapidly. Then illness struck me, and I was unable to do my part in training myself to keep up....whew! I had to involve others in upgrading. Argh!! I did not, repeat, DID NOT like involving someone else with the inards of my computers. While I am not doing true marketing, the keeping of your web site up to date, and *sell-able* requires marketing tools just the same, though I did not realize that is what it was until I got on to Twitter and all the marketing peeps there.

I spent the whole month of April in the hospital, and am now in a nursing home. I am finding it more difficult *right now* to getting my blog done to *my* specifications, and after reading your article, realize that I am needing an *upgrade* or *regrade* so would like to use your article, or at least part of it to explain why the difficulty I am having.

Thank you for helping me realize exactly what my problem is that I am having, and how I might go about reaching a solution. I was a daily writer before getting sick(er), but am now finding it hard to continue in that vein, at least right now. I am not staying put, though. I am plugging away with all I have to reach whatever my new level will be, and what it will entail. ummm...sounds like what I need to tell my readers. Eg. if the PDF is a download about article marketing, then name it article-marketing.pdf vice am.pdf. If these are internal files and getting traffic isn't a priority, then you can name them whatever you'd like. Thanks for the q!
Lisa

Re: SEO Basics Part 2: Titles, File Names, and Meta Tags

Hi Lisa

Do you think it matters whether a PDF file on a site is called xyz.pdf or greatproduct.pdf. We call him Soochie. I was really astonished to learn their was another dog named after the Marine mascot. He's two years old and loves to snuggles especially with his mommy "That's me''. I have to explain his name to everyone who wonders where I got his name.
